BRINDLE
French-country style range
Brindle is a furniture range by oak furniture land. The furniture is inspired by French country furniture and interiors, with round curvy edges and a light colour pallet. The brief was set by oak furniture land was simple, consisting of reference images. I took to this by mood boarding styles before making quick sketches and taking to CAD.
The design phase was done in solidworks and was a process of communication with the client on styles they liked and the direction they wanted to take the furniture. With many different iterations the before the client settled on a design they wanted to be taken forward.
The sideboard was rendered out to look as close to the final product as possible so that the client could get a good idea before the prototyping phase. Once this was confirmed the sideboard was prototyped where final colour changed were made and other small design changes.
The sideboard was then developed into a full range of 32 pieces of furniture based around the design on the sideboard. Each piece was had strict requirements before they were signed off for manufacture.
